Eileen O’Donnell is the Chief Financial Officer at ABL Aviation. In this role, she is responsible for improving the finance and accounting functions across the company’s international divisions. Her responsibilities include managing a diverse portfolio of special-purpose vehicles and ensuring compliance with legislative and organisational policies through practical accounting, treasury, reporting, and budgeting processes.

Before joining ABL Aviation, Eileen gained valuable experience at the Maples Group, where she skillfully prepared management accounts and financial statements for specialised vehicles involved in aircraft leasing. She successfully guided these entities through audits, ensuring strict compliance with the terms of debt agreements. Additionally, she supported a start-up airline’s management accounting efforts, helping it operate until it obtained an airline operator certificate.

Eileen’s experience includes a five-year tenure as Finance Manager at AerSale Aviation Limited, where she managed individual Irish special-purpose vehicles. Her responsibilities covered key financial areas such as reporting, budgeting, auditing, compliance, and group consolidation. Eileen actively managed and maintained the contract management system (CMS). She built and maintained strong relationships with lessees, ensuring they met contractual obligations such as security deposits, lease payments, maintenance reserves, letters of credit, and insurance certificates. Eileen also played a crucial role in implementing new accounting software and using automation to enhance operational efficiency.

Eileen is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor of Business Studies and Marketing from Cork Institute of Technology.
