Umid Sharipov is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Managing Director, Relationship Management at ABL Corporation Japan. In this pivotal role, Umid assumes the responsibility of strengthening our strategic partnership in Japan and cultivating relationships with a diverse range of clients operating in the Japanese market, including airlines, lessors, and investors.

As the Managing Director, Relationship Management, Umid’s primary objective revolves around ensuring that ABL Corporation maintains exceptional relationship with partners in Japan. He achieves this by developing an in-depth understanding of local partners’ unique needs, providing tailored and innovative solutions, and consistently delivering outstanding service.

Prior to joining ABL Corporation, Umid honed his expertise and gained invaluable experience during his tenure at BNP Paribas, both in Tokyo and Paris.

Throughout his time there, Umid held various positions, each contributing to his comprehensive skill set. One of his key responsibilities involved originating and executing cross-border JOLCO (Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option) transactions for transportation assets, including aircraft, vessels, and containers. These transactions catered to the needs of airlines, operating lessors, and shipping companies. Umid’s proficiency and knowledge in this area proved instrumental in facilitating smooth and successful deals.

Additionally, Umid spent time working in the Aviation Finance EMEA division of BNP Paribas in Paris. During his tenure there, he played a pivotal role in origination, negotiation, and execution of aircraft financing and non-recourse aircraft portfolio transactions for clients in the EMEA region. Umid’s contributions in this division further solidified his expertise in the aviation finance sector.
