Rikito Okubo is the Assistant Vice President of Relationship Management at ABL Aviation, where he supports the Managing Director in Japan. His role involves fostering and strengthening client relationships within the Japanese market, leveraging his extensive background in structured finance and maritime finance.

Before joining ABL Aviation, Rikito worked as an Associate in the Global Structured Finance Department at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in Tokyo, Japan. There, he specialised in maritime finance, managing origination, execution, and monitoring ship finance projects for Japanese ship owners using the bank’s global platform. He provided essential advice and documentation support during transactions and was critical in establishing sale-leaseback (SLB) transactions for Japanese investors.

Rikito holds a Master of Science in Atmospheric Science and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Kyoto University, Koyoto, Japan.
