Rodrigo is the Vice President of Technical and Head of Africa at ABL Aviation. In this role, he leads the entire Casablanca team and assists the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) with technical matters.

Rodrigo started his career over 20 years ago as a Certification Engineer at Embraer, where he ensured that new aircraft met regulatory requirements from European, North American, and Brazilian aviation authorities under PART 25. He has taken on various roles in airlines, OEMs, and operators throughout his career. He has worked as a Project Manager and Heavy Maintenance Production Planning Manager, leading projects to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. His initiatives have successfully decreased aircraft turnaround times and significantly replaced component replacements during shop visits.

Before joining ABL Aviation, Rodrigo was the Deputy Technical Director at a well-known MRO in Central Europe. He was instrumental in improving production processes in the hangar and building strong client relationships. Additionally, Rodrigo revolutionised the maintenance approach for ground support equipment, significantly boosting equipment availability and reducing operational costs for Brazil’s largest GSE fleet, establishing him as a leader in the field.

Rodrigo earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado in São Paulo. He also holds an MBA in Project Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and another MBA in Operations, Products, and Services from Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo.
